Food!

Oh, how we longed for you, ha-ha. Eldon and Daphne did an amazing job organizing the dinner. Daphne made the cutest crossword puzzle with clues about Grant and I, and other guests who attended. For example, one clue was a 10-letter word given by "Lisa excels more than Grant at throwing rocks at _________."

...Alligators!!! Yes, it's true. I enjoy harassing wildlife.

We can't say thank you enough for everything you did to make it perfect.

Here are just a few pictures from dinner:

...and now we're off to go pelt some gators with rocks. Talk to you soon!!

Before the biggest day of our lives...

These past 6 weeks have been the busiest weeks of our lives, but so worth it; we're married!!! Life has been wonderful, and marriage is beautiful. And first things first... Can I just say that we have the greatest support of family and friends. There's no way Grant and I would have made it through all of these exciting events without them. With that said, I am so thankful for all of you. We love you very much.

Let the festivities begin...

Thursday night before the wedding, I met up with Grant, Scott, Kelly and a few of their friends that arrived from out of town; Jodi joined us for a little bit too. After dinner, we headed to Congo River to dangle frankfurters from a string into a pit of gators. Very entertaining. In fact, I believe Grant and his crew made a second visit to Congo River. I've seen pictures... I'm not sure what kind of golf they played. Pant-less? Nevermind.

I had to convince Kelly just to take a picture with me. Right, Kelly? ;-) he-he. Kidding.

Rehearsal...
Thank you Kelly for taking pictures.

Rehearsal took a little longer than we had anticipated. I believe half way into it, dinner was on all of our minds. Scott captured the way I felt perfectly (ha-ha)...

The big day is ONE WEEK AWAY...

...and I'm not stressing too much! I believe I have everything together and under control. This has been quite a journey, and I cannot wait to be married next Saturday. He is pretty amazing.

Wedding planning is fun, but it is a lot of work.

Tips for the unmarried:

1. Plan ahead of time
2. Long engagements are NO GOOD
3. Be organized
4. Get married sooner than later... the price for weddings continue to sky rocket

Additional tips will be added later he he ;-)

Grant's family arrives this Sunday, and we cannot wait to have them here. I just hope the Florida weather treats them well. Colorado and New Jersey have been brutal this winter, I hear.

More exciting news!
My beautiful baby niece Chloe Paige Garcia was born on March 3, 2010 at 11:13 am. She weighed 7 lbs 13 oz. Babies are such a blessing.

Baby Chloe with her big sister, Kaelyn (my other adorable niece)

She was so content laying there... I had to video tape it :-) Enjoy.

There is going to be so much to share in the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you all posted.

Love you all... goodnight!

I've decided to blog...

...I just hope I can keep up with it. This is my best attempt to keep friends and family in the loop of everyday life. That is, of course, if you wish to do so.

So quickly - I just want to update everyone on a few things.

THE WEDDING - 11 days away...wow! It's almost here! Grant proposed on the Fourth of July in 2008 for those of you who didn't know, and it has been a very long, but very exciting journey. However, I think everyone would agree with me... IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!

THE HOUSE - Our house in Ponte Vedra is coming together nicely. It's a beautiful home! The previous owner had a love for wall paper. I, on the other hand, hate wall paper with everything inside of me. It's the enemy. On a great note, all of the rooms with wall paper have been stripped and painted. A huge thanks to Grant's parents who helped us finish up our master bathroom just a few weeks ago.

In the meantime, Grant is working hard, while I am in school. I'm working at my major in Graphic Design. So far the classes have been great, but I still have about 2 years or so ahead of me.

I will post pictures of the house "updated", and pictures will come soon after the wedding.

Is it March 13th yet?
