Boy or Girl?

Which will it be? Boy? Girl? Grant and I just want a healthy baby; we don't have a preference one way or the other. We'll get what the Lord blesses us with. Many say we're having a girl for whatever reason, but I had a dream of Grant telling some man that we were having a little boy. Oh, the anticipation...

Our scheduled date to find out the sex of the baby is August 30. We are super excited, and will let everyone know as soon as we find out.

Baby Bevill?

The truth is out. There is a baby Bevill on the way.

The funny thing about the whole situation happened on Memorial Day weekend. Grant and I were in Orlando for the weekend, and I told Amanda I would watch Chloe on Saturday while she worked. It had been a while since watching a wee wittle baby, but Amanda trusted me enough to handle her. I was with Jodi for the day, but I'm not sure what happened. To my knowledge, I was pretty great with babies/kids; especially growing up with so many little ones. All I recall is Jodi laughing at me for being so timid, and saying “I am so not ready for kids right now.” The very next day, Memorial Day, I found out through a home pregnancy test that I was pregnant. I can’t explain how I felt when I found out. Scared? Happy? Emotions were scattered.

I am not sure anyone will ever be completely ready, but we are very excited about this next big step in life. It is such a blessing!

On June 8, 2010, we confirmed the pregnancy with the doctor, and our due date is around January 28, 2011. I've been reading some, and learning that there are a lot of restrictions in today's world for pregnant women. No coffee. No tea. No deli meat. No chocolate. Really? What else? I know... everyone has their opinion about such madness. I'll eat what I see fit for my baby and me. You eat what you see fit. It's pretty simple. I mean, in the next few years we might not be able to walk outside. Breathing will be a hazard to the baby. Ha-ha. Okay, I'm done exaggerating. Really. I think I'm bitter about it because I'm deprived of coffee.

So, this past Monday, July 12, we had our first trimester ultrasound. We were tested for down syndrome and any other possible abnormalities. Everything looked great! The baby was very active inside of my belly, and we have a few pictures to share.

This shot was taken as soon as the baby kicked off. It was so cute to watch.

This is a very exciting time in our lives, and we'll try our best to keep all of you updated.
Friends and family, we miss and love you very much!

Our Big Day

I cannot believe it has only been 4 months since our wedding. It feels like it has been much longer. And still, he's everything I wanted and more. I'm still wondering why he married me. Lucky, I am.

As much as we both both miss "home", we have really come to like Ponte Vedra. It's a beautiful area, and we have made our house a home. Maybe I'll post some updated pictures. It's quite "homey".

Pictures from the wedding are long overdue. Here are just a few of our favorites (the rest you can find on Facebook):

More news to come :-)
