Someone Turned Two Months Today!

Happy 2-month birthday to our little Reid! It is crazy how fast time flies. I feel like we were just bringing him home from the hospital, I blinked, and now we're staring at 2 months.

2 Months Old Today

We learned that Reid had reflux at his well visit two weeks ago. It was causing him discomfort, more spit up and extra fussiness. He wasn't sleeping well, and couldn't nurse comfortably. So now he's on Zantac, and there have been some improvements. I hate giving him the medication, but do you let him suffer the pain that comes along with reflux? It's tough being a mom and making "right" decisions. However, the good news is that he is doing a lot better, and sleeping a little better for mommy.

Parker's really starting to enjoy his "big brother" status. Now that Reid responds with smiles (has been for about 2 weeks), Parker has been pretty excited about him.

He will talk to him with a high pitch voice (like Mommy) just to get a smile out of him. Parker kisses come often during the day, snot and all. I'm in love.

Reid isn't a great traveler yet. He likes to over exaggerate by crying until he's practically out of breath. I don't like it one bit, and I'll pull over every time. He gets so worked up that he starts this horrible sounding cough and/or pitiful whimper. Anyways, Parker is such a trooper when Reid is having his meltdowns. He usually says, "Reid, it's oooookay. It's just our car." Reid may stop for a second or two and start back up again, and Parker will go, "Mommy, he's crying again. He's not happy." It's adorable seeing him express concern for his brother; either that or he's just annoyed with it and wants it to stop. Either way, he's pretty calm when the meltdowns occur. 

I'm sure there will be plenty more stories to come. In the meantime, this was suppose to be a quick Happy 2 Months to our baby boy! We love him to pieces!
